The work consists of the single application of Asphalt Seal Coat and single application of Type II Slurry Seal of two roadways (12,225 SY), the single application of Asphalt Seal Coat of one roadway (9,000 SY), and the double application of Asphalt Seal Coat of one roadway (6,060 SY). The Contract also includes 70 gallons of rubberized crack seal and the removal and replacement of all pavement markings. All bidders must be pre-qualified by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in accordance with Section 102.01 of PennDOT Specifications Publication 408, latest edition. All work and materials must comply with PennDOT Standards and Specifications. Proposals are to be made on forms provided by the Township, available on PennBID. The project is considered maintenance and is not subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, but is subject to the Public Works Employment Verification Act, requiring submission of a completed "Public Works Employment Verification Form" with the bid. Proposals must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid, payable to Wrightstown Township. An executed Non-Collusion Affidavit must accompany each bid proposal. The successful bidder must provide separate bonds with corporate surety for 100% of the contract amount to secure both the faithful performance and maintenance of the contract and payment for materials and labor. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any informalities, and delete any item or portion of an item from the contract at its discretion. Bids may be held for up to thirty days for review and bidder qualification.
