Demolition for a residential development in Sikeston, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development.
The City of Sikeston is soliciting bids for the demolition and disposal of any and all structures at 518 Coleman due to Health and Safety violations creating a public nuisance and hazard to the citizens living in the various neighborhoods. Bidders must use the attached Bid Return Sheet for submission of bids, which must be signed and notarized. The bid submission must also include a signed and notarized Non-Kickback and Non-Collusion Affidavit. Bids not containing all required items will be deemed unresponsive and will not be read. Any acts of misrepresentation, collusion, or offers of kickback by a vendor will result in disqualification. Bidders are responsible for submitting all inquiries regarding specification interpretation within the time limitations specified in the request for proposal. The City of Sikeston is exempt from all federal and state excise, sales, and use taxes. It is the responsibility of the bidder to ensure delivery of the bid on or before the closing date and time. All documents requiring notarization must be notarized by the bid deadline. Late or incomplete bids will be rejected. The City of Sikeston reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals at its sole discretion. For bids and proposals $10,000 or less, a local vendor may be selected if all other aspects of the bid are substantially the same and the price differential is 5% or less. For bids exceeding $10,000, city staff will recommend award to the lowest responsible bidder. Any explanation desired by the bidder regarding the meaning or interpretation of the specifications listed in the Invitation for Bid must be submitted to Barry Blevins, Community Development Director, 105 E.
