(Specs are written using Carlisle products. If bidding with a comparable product, please include details with your bid.) Please see attached photo details for area locations. Clean loose debris/etc. from roof surface to allow for roofing over the existing roof system. Over the existing roof, lay one layer of 0.5" Carlisle Securshield HD Polyisocyanurate Roof Insulation and mechanically fasten with Carlisle Polymer GypTec Fasteners and Plates as per manufacturers requirements. Pull test will be required (by contractor) to assure proper "pull outs" are met. Area "E" will require Tapered Isocyanurate, 1/2 " min. 1/4 " sloped towards the north edge. No Securshield will be required for this area. Adjust wood blocking accordingly. Over the new Polyisocyanurate Insulation, apply a 60 mil White TPO (Thermo Plastic Polyolefin) Totally Adhered Roof System. Apply using Carlisle Sure Weld Adhesive in a 100% coverage as detailed by manufacturers specifications. Existing cast iron roof drains may be reused if they are not damaged or broke. Existing Johns Manville plastic flex-i-drains must be replaced using Olympic Hercules Retro Drains with aluminum strainers. Size to match existing. All plumbing vents stacks to have new TPO pipe boots installed. All pitch pans to be replaced using TPO pitch pans with pourable sealer Walk-pads to be placed at three sides of existing roof hatches. Gas line support blocks are to be placed on protective pads. The gravel stop/metal edge, gutters, and downspouts to be replacing using 24-gauge Kynar prefinished metal in color as selected by owner. The existing Roof to Roof expansion joints to be replaced using roof manufacturer's details as required to comply with the warranty requirements. Approved manufacturers are Carlisle, Elevate (Firestone), and Johns Manville. Any other manufacturer would need to be submitted for approval no later than 7 days prior to bidding.
