Site work for a civil project in Norfolk, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

Sealed bids are invited to furnish all labor, materials, use of contractor's equipment, plant, and everything necessary to properly construct all improvements for Paving District No. 524, Water Extension District No. 134, Sanitary Sewer Extension District No. 260, Schedule D (Chestnut Street). The work consists of furnishing and installing approximately: unclassified excavation, topsoil stripping and replacement, 8" sanitary sewer, sanitary sewer services, 48" sanitary sewer manhole, 6" DIP watermain, fire hydrant, valves, 8" concrete pavement, crushed concrete foundation course, subgrade preparation, traffic control, erosion control, seeding, and mulching. All work must be completed in strict accordance with the provided plans and specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check from an FDIC-insured bank in the amount of 5% of the total bid price, payable without condition as evidence of good faith and as liquidated damages if the selected bidder fails to enter into contract or furnish acceptable bond within ten days of award notice. Said bond must be in the amount of 100% of the total bid price. The bid security must be submitted in a separate envelope, clearly marked, and accessible without needing to open the envelope containing the proposal. Proposals not meeting this requirement will be rejected. The City of Norfolk reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids. Technical Questions should be directed to Nick Hoffman, Project Manager McLaury Engineering (402) 316-2625 If any person contemplating submitting a bid for this contract is in doubt to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications, or other proposed contract documents, he may submit to the Engineer a written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the proposed documents will be made only by addendum duly issued or delivered to each person receiving a set of such documents. The Owner will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the proposed documents.
