Site work for a water / sewer project in Coventry, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Furnishing all labor, tools, materials and equipment required for the Plains Road Water Main Extension Project, approximately 5,200 linear feet, which includes installation of a 6-inch diameter water main, gravel access road, 78-inch diameter culvert, and 1-inch diameter domestic water service connections to five residences. The project is funded partially by the State of Connecticut Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. Pre-qualification requirements: Each bidder shall hold a current Prequalification Certificate for a designated classification from the Department of Administrative Services (DAS), and a copy of the bidder's DAS Prequalification Certificate and Update (Bid) Statement must be submitted with their bid. Any subcontractor whose subcontract exceeds $500,000 may perform installation or construction work as a subcontractor on the project, provided that at the time of the bid submission, the subcontractor is prequalified by DAS in accordance with CGS Section 4a-100. Each bidder must deposit with their bid a certified check, or a bid bond, for not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid. There are also state spending allocation goals and contract compliance requirements, including a minimum spending allocation goal of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state funded portion of the contract set aside for award to subcontractors holding current certification as Small Business Enterprises (SBE) from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services, and a minimum of 6.25% set aside for subcontractors certified as Minority, Woman, and/or Disabled-owned Business Enterprises (M/W/DSBE). The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet these spending allocation goals. Minimum wage rates must be paid under this contract. All proposals must be on the forms furnished in Section B of this manual. No bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of the opening thereof.
