The City of Ames, Iowa is soliciting qualifications and proposals from qualified persons or companies for a Construction Advisor (also referred to as an "Advisor" or "Owner’s Representative") for a project to build a new Fire Station #2 to replace the existing Fire Station on Welch Avenue. Proposals must be submitted in the required format on AmesBids or delivered to the City of Ames Purchasing Department, with all requested data and prices properly filled in before the closing date and time. Submittals must acknowledge receipt of all addenda. Proposal documents are only valid if obtained from the City of Ames Purchasing Division. All associated costs with preparing a submittal are the responsibility of the submitting party. The City reserves the right to reject proposals, waive informalities, and make awards as deemed in the City’s best interest. Failure to follow the outlined requirements or contacting personnel other than those specified may be grounds for elimination from consideration. Proposals must remain valid for at least 90 days from the closing date. Local businesses within Ames city limits who pay commercial property tax may submit a notarized Local Business Certificate for a 1% local consideration applied to their proposal, if applicable.
