Renovation of a laboratory facility in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a laboratory facility.
This project is for the replacement of the existing 85kW indoor open-frame natural gas generator in VMRI 40 at the Veterinary Medical Research Institute with a similarly sized outdoor natural gas generator featuring weather and sound-insulated housing. The scope of work includes installing a concrete pad, removing and replacing the generator, reconfiguring all related electrical connections to meet current codes, patching and repairing the existing hole, and grading and seeding. Bids will be received for a single General Construction Contract. Bids must be submitted electronically at www.bidexpress.com and must include bid security as described in the instructions. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Contract Performance and Payment Bond equal to 100% of the contract sum within ten days of receiving the Notice of Award. A participation goal of 10% is set for certified Targeted Small Businesses.
