Site work for a theater / auditorium in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a theater / auditorium.
The project involves removing existing floor drain connections from the current storm sewer system. The scope of work includes removing sections of concrete floor, demolishing the existing floor drains, and installing new trench drainage systems that discharge to sump pits. These sump pits will pump process water to the existing overhead sanitary sewer lines. The work also includes providing necessary electrical connections and repouring the concrete floor. The work in the electrical room will be coordinated with Iowa State Utilities. Bids will be received for a single General Construction Contract. Each bid shall be submitted using the electronic bidding documents provided at www.bidexpress.com and shall include bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum within ten days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 45 calendar days after the date of opening. The project has a participation goal of 10% for certified Targeted Small Businesses as specified in the Project Requirements. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
