Site work for a civil project in Ocala, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project involves the complete abandonment and demolition of the existing Golden Holiday Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) and two Water Treatment Plants (WTP #1 and WTP #2), along with construction of a new lift station, installation of new 3-inch force main and a small section of 2" water main. The determination of the low bidder will be based on the total cost of the Base Bid combined with any Alternates selected by the County post bid closing and prior to award of the project; contingency pricing, if requested, will not be included in the evaluation or determination of the low bidder, and allowances, as fixed amounts established by the County and included in the total contract value, will not be used to differentiate bidders. Questions Due Date: May 11th 2026, 12:00 AM EDT Marion County Utilities will be constructing this project with a new pump station and the proposed sewer forcemain within FDOT right of way. After completion, MCU will transfer ownership, operation, and maintenance responsibilities to City of Ocala for the proposed forcemain within FDOT right of way.
