The purpose of the cathodic protection systems is to protect the existing water mains beneath South Slough and Isthmus Slough. The work is located at two locations within Coos County, Oregon: South Slough and Isthmus Slough. The South Slough project is within a Coos Bay-North Bend easement near Roosevelt Road, Charleston on both the West and East banks of South Slough as shown on plans, and consists of both upland and in water work regulated by permits provided in Section C-810. The Isthmus Slough is on both the West and East banks of Isthmus Slough as shown on plans, and consists of both upland and in water work regulated by permits provided in Section C-810.
