Renovation of an educational facility in West Newton, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Sealed bids will be received for the purchase and installation of one commercial dishwasher, installed at West Newton Elementary School. Specifications may be obtained at the Business Office or on the district website. The district reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any bid irregularities as permitted under Pennsylvania law. Dishwasher, Conveyor Type, Hobart Model No. CL44EN-BAS+BUILDUP YOUGH SCHOOL DISTRICT Scope of Solicitation In accordance with the specifications, the undersigned agrees to provide the items described in the Bid Form at a location designated by the Yough School District. The Yough School District reserves the right to reject all bids and/or make more than one award based on this bid. Awards will be given to the lowest responsible bidder (if a lump sum price is specified) or to the lowest bidder for each item (if unit prices are specified). Bids must be firm for a period of ninety (90) days following the bid opening. 1. The Board of Education reserves the right to select or reject any and/or all bids containing alternate proposals; to waive any informality in proposals; and to reject or accept any and/or all bids as shall in its judgement be to the best interest of the Yough School District. 2. The successful bidders contract must conform with federal procurement requirements. 3. A performance bond of 50% of the bid price may be required from the successful contractor. 4. The successful contractor agrees to provide a certificate of insurance for all insurance required for the completion of the project. 5. Bidders are cautioned to show the total price on the Bid Form and to sign the Bid Form. 6. Bidders must complete and submit the Certification of Debarment and Suspension Form attached. 7. Prices shall not include sales tax, excise taxes, or any other taxes for which the Yough School District is not liable. The Yough School District will execute any necessary exemption certificates. 7. If applicable, the Contractor shall secure and pay for all necessary permits and fees required for construction/installation. Scope of Work The purpose of this project is to replace the dishwasher, conveyor type, at West Newton Elementary, including any subsequent addenda. The work shall include all materials, labor, project management, and supervision for the replacement and completion of the work. Disconnecting existing equipment for placement of new equipment and removal of old equipment contingent upon Yough School Districts need for removal. This project involves working on school district property and within existing buildings. It is the responsibility of the contractor to review the existing building conditions. Scheduling site visits to the schools is the responsibility of the contractor and can be arranged by contacting the Facilities Department. Site visits should be scheduled in advance and after the normal school day. Please check in with the school office upon arrival and obtain a visitor badge. Anticipated completion date: August 15, 2026.
