With 20 Terminals throughout the Puget Sound area and millions of passengers traveling on ferries each year, WSF Terminal Engineering (TE) focuses on the preservation, modernization, and seismic upgrading of marine and upland infrastructure, with major projects such as trestle replacements, movable bridge replacements, terminal building construction, hydraulic and structural upgrades. Key efforts also include implementing structural safety against earthquakes and enhancing pedestrian/bicycle accessibility. WSF has identified the need to augment its TE project management and engineering staff with a GEC to ensure the timely and successful delivery of essential projects and to support the overall TE program. The initial GEC team will consist of the Program Manager and supporting staff to determine program and projects scopes and budgets and develop task orders. Individual task orders will be negotiated as stand-alone assignments, ending when the task deliverables have been completed or task time frame has ended. The state will determine the specific work assignments. Work assignments and timing will vary depending on WSF needs and priorities and may not be continuous throughout the term of the agreement.
