Renovation of a fire / police facility in Redmond, Washington. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility; and fire / police facility.
Consultant shall provide professional services necessary to complete a feasibility study and existing site options analysis for Fire Station 11. At a minimum, the scope is anticipated to include project management and coordination with City staff; review of existing background materials, plans, and available facility information; existing site and facility assessment at a planning level; operational and functional assessment of Fire Station 11 as an active downtown fire station and department headquarters; feasibility analysis of renovation on the existing site; feasibility analysis of rebuild/replacement on the existing site; identification of key code, site, access, phasing, continuity of operations, and constructability constraints; development of planning-level cost estimates and cost drivers for each major option; and preparation of a final report and presentation summarizing findings, recommendations, assumptions, risks, and potential next steps. If any service is supplied by a partner or 3rd party, the source service provider(s) should be identified. The consultant is responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required licenses and permits, adhering to relevant state and federal regulations, and providing all labor, supervision, technical expertise, subconsultant coordination, analysis, and documentation necessary to complete the work. The City will provide background information, a project manager, and coordinate access and participation in project review as required. Deliverables are anticipated to include project schedule, coordination materials, assessment summaries, comparative analyses, cost estimates, draft and final reports, and a presentation of findings and recommendations. Proposals must include all requested information and meet the specifications and requirements outlined in the RFQ. Submittals must include a project understanding, approach, team description, relevant experience, proposed schedule and scope of work, quality control measures, reporting approach, project coordination, and an example of relevant work product. All costs for preparing the response are the obligation of the respondent. As of April 29, 2026, qualifications are due May 1, 2026. A timeline for construction has not yet been established.
