The demolition of the "S" Ship Unloader Crane shall constitute the Base Bid and primary scope of this solicitation. Additive Alternates No. 1 ("M" Crane) and No. 2 ("Z" Crane) may be awarded at APA's sole discretion and only if funding and operational considerations allow. Submission of an additive alternate proposal does not obligate APA to award it. The Contractor will be required to complete the entire project within 90 calendar days and in accordance with DIVISION III SPECIAL PROVISIONS SP-03. Question Deadline 05/19/2026 All questions regarding retrieval of the contract documents or project inquiries should be directed to the APA Project Manager, Kyle Strachan, P.E. at (251) 441-7205 or kyle.strachan@alports.com. Questions must be submitted via email by the deadline. No requests for additional information, clarification or any other communication should be directed to any other individual. APA's responses to questions for clarification shall be in writing and may be accomplished by an Addendum to this RFP. APA will not be bound by any oral communications, or written interpretations or clarifications that are not issued in writing or set forth in an Addendum. Addenda, specifications, and plans will be available online. Respondents shall furnish four (4) hardcopies and one (1) electronic copy on a USB drive in their submission package. Proposals shall be opened, and read, publicly at the time and place specified in the advertisement. Bidders, their authorized agents, and other interested persons are invited to attend.
