Description

Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a mixed-use development in Jackson, Mississippi. Working plans call for the addition of a 10,600-square-foot medical facility; for the demolition of a medical facility; for the renovation of a medical facility; and for site work for a medical facility.

Construction of a new approximately 10,600 square foot expansion to the existing Community Living Center to replace patient beds lost due to prior renovations and to provide single-patient private rooms with private bathrooms. The expansion will be designed in accordance with the VA Small House Model and the 10-bed Residential Neighborhood concept, incorporating VA cultural transformation initiatives and the latest VA design guidelines. The work includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and construction-related services necessary to complete the project in accordance with final specifications and drawings prepared by an independent architect-engineer, using a design-bid-build approach. The project will be delivered as a firm-fixed-price construction contract with an estimated duration of 540 calendar days from Notice to Proceed. the magnitude of construction is between $10,000,000 and $20,000,000.
