The work includes landscape restoration for the traffic circle that intersects Reading Boulevard and Wyomissing Boulevard. The existing stone block wall will be removed and an identical wall will be constructed in its place, with relief drains and drain pipe. The existing stone base may be reused. Bidders must conform to the General Conditions and detailed Specifications referenced in the bid package. All Requests for Information shall be submitted in person via the borough hall by 12:00 pm on April 27th to allow time to post an addendum. No responses will be provided for requests received after that time or submitted by other means. Responses will be provided at the council meeting and be visible to all Bidders. Any changes to the plans or specifications will be provided as an Addendum and notice will be given to Bidders via email. The bid must be accompanied by a Cashier's Check or Certified Check in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to Wyomissing Borough. Also required are a properly executed Bid Form, Non-Collusion Affidavit, Certification Statement, and Contractor's Qualification Statement. The successful bidder shall also be required to provide a Performance Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount within ten calendar days of written notice of acceptance of the Bid. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals or to accept any portion of any bid, waiving any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in the bid, and to award Contracts as is deemed best for the Borough.
