Furnish material and equipment required to properly prepare and apply a waterproofing coating system and painting on the exterior surfaces of the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center for the Lafayette Consolidated Government as indicated in the contract documents. Work for this project shall be completed within three hundred (300) calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed. Bids must be submitted either electronically or at the office of the Purchasing Division prior to the scheduled date and time of the bid opening. Bidders must be properly registered, and only a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check shall be submitted as bid security. Bids must be signed in accordance with LRS Title 38:2212(B)5, and a Corporate Resolution or Certificate of Authority authorizing the person signing the bid is required with the submission. The successful bidder will be required to execute performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the contract. Contractors or contracting firms submitting bids of $50,000.00 or more must certify they are licensed contractors under Chapter 24 of Title 37 of the Louisiana Revised Statutes of 1950 for the classification of LIMITED SPECIALITY SERVICES. The Lafayette Consolidated Government encourages the participation of Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest responsible and responsive bid in compliance with the bid documents.
