Demolition, site work and paving for a playground / park / athletic field in Ripley, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 30,000-square-foot playground / park / athletic field.
The work shall consist of demolishing existing asphalt and installing base material for paving, then paving 120’ x 250’ basketball courts with 2” hot mix. Each bid submitted must be in a sealed envelope addressed to the City of Ripley and clearly marked on the outside “Bid for: BASKETBALL COURTS, CITY OF RIPLEY, MS.” Any bid in excess of $50,000 must contain the contractor’s current certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the envelope, or a statement indicating the bid does not exceed $50,000. A satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder or an accepted Surety, a certified check, or bank draft payable to the City of Ripley, or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (at par value), must be submitted with each bid in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. Bids may be held up to 60 days from the date of opening for review of bids and qualifications. The City of Ripley reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding.
