Site work for a development in Santa Cruz, California. Completed plans call for site work for a development.
Contractor will furnish labor, equipment, tools, and materials necessary for site work and construction of tree trimming. The Contractor shall include in its bid and provide labor, tools, equipment, and materials for a complete and working project in conformance with the intent shown on the drawings and specified herein and as provided for and set forth in the plans, special provisions, and any addendum that may be issued prior to the date of bid, or in either of them. All work is to be performed in accordance with the plans, special provisions, Department of Transportation Standard Plans (2024), Standard Specifications (2024), and applicable wage rates. Bids must be submitted electronically via the online procurement portal and include all required forms and acknowledgments. The Contractor must complete all work within 100 working days. The bid package must include all addenda, bidder's security, designation of subcontractors, contractor qualifications, and all required state and federal forms, statements, and certificates. The Contractor agrees to perform a minimum of thirty percent of the total work with its own forces and meet the specified minimum qualifications, including possessing a valid and active California Class D49 Tree Service license, having completed at least five qualifying public works projects in California over the past five years, and not being subject to specified disciplinary or legal actions. Failure to provide all required information or meet qualifications may result in bid rejection as nonresponsive. The apparent lowest responsible bidder must, within eight business days of notice of award, sign and deliver the contract and all required documents, including payment and performance bonds and certificates of insurance. Additional requirements for local hiring, noncollusion, equal employment opportunity, and compliance with various public codes and nonlobbying certifications are also included.
