Sealed bids are requested for furnishing the necessary labor and materials for Canal Road Storm Sewer Improvements North of Heinton Road, Valley View, Ohio. The work must be performed in accordance with the plans and specifications available at the office of the Village Engineer. Bidders are to deposit sixty dollars for the plans and specifications, a sum which is not refundable. Bidders must use the printed forms provided and each bid must separately state the amount for both labor and material, including the full name(s) of the party(ies) making the bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond in the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to ten percent of the bid, as designated by Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. The bid guarantee serves as surety that if the proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and performance will be secured within the specified time. Bid guarantees will be retained until the contract is executed by the successful bidder. Bids and the bid guarantee must be sealed in an envelope and properly endorsed. The Village of Valley View reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or irregularities, accept any bid deemed most favorable, disregard nonconforming, incomplete, or conditional bids or counter proposals, and conduct investigations to establish the qualifications and financial ability of any contractor or subcontractor to complete the work to the Village's satisfaction within the prescribed time.
