Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Quitman, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The work generally consists of an ADA accessibility project including accessible bleachers, an Audio/PA system, and additional exterior renovations of the Clarke County Multi-Purpose Building in Quitman, Mississippi, consisting of improved parking areas. The contractor is responsible for supplying all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for construction as required by the specifications and drawings. The contract time is 60 consecutive calendar days from the effective date shown in the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi law, have a current Certificate of Responsibility, and submit proposals in duplicate with a Statement of Qualifications. Each proposal must include a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent of the bid, and the successful bidder must furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. Bidders must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, and minority and women's business enterprises are encouraged to bid. The County of Clarke is an Equal Opportunity Employer and reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities or irregularities.
