Site work and renovation of a playground / park / athletic field in Johnson, Vermont. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 484-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a 160-square-foot, one-story above grade playground / park / athletic field.
The Town of Johnson requests proposals from qualified contractors to provide upgrades for Legion Field. The scope of work includes building a 22' x 22' x 1' stone base of 3" minus washed stone for the bandstand, moving and installing the bandstand on the new base, and initiating repairs to the bandstand including the skirt around the stage and the base of upright beams showing deterioration. The project also requires installing a 20' x 8' furnished container behind the bandstand, establishing a 10' x 25' pad of 2" minus washed stone, and installing electricity to the site via 2.5" underground conduit set below the frost line. A 200-amp breaker box will be installed on-site, with electric run approximately 80 feet from the field electrical stanchion to the bandstand. Additionally, a 50' x 100' area will be graded and rolled for a skating rink. All work, with the exception of the skating rink area, must be completed by July 1, 2026.
