The work includes maintenance of existing pavement and improvements, and constructing new ADA improvements on various streets. The work consists of maintenance of pavement and roadway improvements including crack sealing, base repairs, mill and overlay, slurry seal, cape seal, concrete curb ramps, adjusting utility covers, roadway striping, and all related work necessary to complete the project according to the plans and specifications. The general contractor must have a California State Contractor's License Class A. All bidders must be skilled and regularly engaged in the type of work called for under the contract. A certified check or bid bond for at least ten percent of the proposal must be provided with each bid. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the project information, and dropped off at City Hall during business hours. Bidders are subject to prevailing wage laws, must comply with apprentice regulations, and must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations. Proof of proper licensing and registration is required. Each bidder must submit a statement of experience and list three or more relevant projects. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, or accept only portions of bids, and may waive informalities. Bidder's attention is directed to the insurance requirements, and a completed Insurance Acknowledgement must accompany each bid.
