UConn Health (UCH) will be renovating approximately 1,200 square feet of the main floor hospital located in the Connecticut Tower (Building H) at 263 Farmington Ave. Farmington, CT including the renovation of existing space to accommodate installation of a new PETCT system and supporting spaces. The spaces will receive layout modifications, new finishes, millwork, imaging equipment, hot lab and modified MEPs. The project milestone schedule is: Bidding: September 2026 Construction start: November 2026 Construction complete: April 2027 The anticipated construction value is approximately $ 1,600,000. In the bidding of most deferred maintenance,majorrenovation, and newconstructionprojects, contractors are advised that they must utilize Small Business Enterprises (SBE) and Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) certified by the State of Connecticut DAS Supplier Diversity Program, to meet the goal of 30% allocation (25% of contract value, at a minimum)to SBE's, of which 10% (6.25% of the contract value, at a minimum)must be allocated to MBE's only.The General Contractorwill be responsible for ensuring that they and the SBE'sthey have selected are eligible subcontractors, and that they meet State requirements.
