Reading Area Community College (RACC) is seeking bids from qualified vendors for HVAC Upgrades. The project consists of a comprehensive upgrade and modernization of the building's HVAC systems, including air handling units (AHUs), condensing units, VAV boxes and associated ductwork/piping, existing controls and select mechanical/electrical components, updated building automation system (BAS) controls, mechanical, electrical, and structural modifications required to support new systems, including roof structural supports (dunnage) for equipment, electrical power distribution and panel updates, and integration with existing campus control systems. Bids will be received by RACC via the PennBid platform. The contract will be a fixed price contract. All written requests for clarifications must be submitted in writing through the PennBid platform. RACC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities, omissions, errors, mistakes, or defects in any bid, or to accept or reject any or all bids at its sole discretion in the best interest of the College. The contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive in all material respects to the bid requirements. No bid shall be deemed accepted until the adoption of a formal resolution by the Owner. Bidder is required to visit the Site and conduct a thorough visual examination of the Site and adjacent areas.
