Description

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking Professional Services for the evaluation and replacement of air handling unit AC-36 and associated HVAC equipment on level 5 of Stony Brook University Hospital. The scope of work includes: reviewing all applicable scope and documents, surveying and assessing the project area, providing abatement identification and design, replacing the air handling unit and associated return air fan, replacing all terminal boxes with variable air volume, providing duct static pressure sensors, replacing hydronic and steam connections and valves, providing a comprehensive automatic controls package for BMS integration, specifying temporary HVAC if needed, and removing abandoned ductwork and devices. Services also include the development and provision of biddable design and construction documents, schematic and design reports at 30% and 60% completions, construction documents at 100% submission, bid review, and construction administration. Additional responsibilities involve staffing, preparing required regulatory documentation, conducting pre-construction risk assessments, adhering to sustainability standards, and submitting deliverables in specified formats.
