2026 Bituminous Paving Project on various streets in Towamensing Township, Carbon County, PA. Includes placement of 3,402 tons of Superpave Asphalt Mix Design, WMA Binder Course at 240 lbs/sy. All materials must meet PENNDOT Pub. 408 Specifications and Standards. Bidders must be PENNDOT prequalified. Proposals must be submitted on forms provided, and clearly marked for the 2026 Bituminous Paving Project. PA Prevailing Wages apply to contracts exceeding $100,000. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid payable to Towamensing Township. The successful bidder must provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each for 100% of the contract price within twenty days of contract award. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all proposals or portions thereof, to delete projects or portions of the project depending on budgetary constraints, and to waive technicalities if deemed in the best interest of the Township.
