The scope of work is to install security gates at City Hall and Police Department Campus, Fire Department, and Corporation Yard. The base project includes installing a non-scalable wrought iron security fence and gate system at City Hall and Police Department Campus, removing landscaping between the Police Department and City Hall, and installing privacy screens at specified locations. The work involves a mix of civil and building improvements including electrical, asphalt, concrete, and related tasks. Additive alternates include landscaping and a seating area at the Police Department, installation of a security gate system with a pedestrian gate at the Fire Department with existing fence to remain, and installation of a security gate system at the Corporation Yard with the existing fence to remain. All labor, materials, tools, equipment, and methods of process for installation and associated improvements are included. All bid submittal packages and Requests for Information must be submitted exclusively through the City's OpenGov portal to be eligible for consideration. Submittals by any other means will not be accepted. Prospective bidders must monitor the portal for addenda or updates related to the solicitation, which are considered integral to the documents. Failure to submit through the portal or to review and acknowledge addenda may result in disqualification. Bids received from any bidder who does not attend or remain for the duration of the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be rejected. The successful contractor must agree to and be bound by the City of Suisun Project Labor Agreement. Bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations and possess the appropriate licensing. The successful bidder must provide required bonds and a one-year warranty bond upon completion. All questions about the bidding documents must be directed in writing via the OpenGov platform; only formal written addenda are binding.
