This tender consists of the installation of approximately 540 m of new and replacement sidewalk, on miscellaneous city streets. Installation of approximately 540 linear metres of new and replacement concrete sidewalk on various city streets. Work includes sidewalk removal and replacement, new sidewalks, asphalt saw cutting and patching, sodding, concrete curb and gutter as required, minor storm drainage items, water service checks and potential replacements, excavation, backfilling, traffic control, testing and full reinstatement. Sidewalk areas: Type 1 approx 150 m2, Type 2 approx 670 m2, Type 3 approx 50 m2. Total sidewalk length approx 540 m. Every Tender received shall be accompanied by a certified cheque, bank draft or bid bond payable to the City of Summerside in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the Estimated Contract Price. The deposit of the three lowest Tenders will be retained until a Contract has been signed, and any necessary bonds/cheques furnished to the satisfaction of the Engineer and Owner. No interest will be paid on any Tender deposit. All bidders must register with cindy@summerside.ca to be a registered bidder.
