Site work for a municipal facility in Churchill, Manitoba. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.
The Town is seeking to develop a site four kilometers to the east of the townsite as a component of a Solid Waste Management Program. The site originally included a large building which was consumed by fire in 2024. The site will require remediation to include debris removal and disposal and asbestos abatement. Wood and steel debris will be removed and disposed of in a manner and at sites specified by the Town. Asbestos removal and disposal will be supervised by a licenced contractor. A labour force of local residents was trained to conduct related abatement tasks and will require retraining. The site will be left in a condition appropriate for access to the proposed location of a domestic waste storage and recycling facility. A picture folio of the site and a chart listing possible climate conditions at the Churchill airport during the proposed remediation work period are attached to this Request For Proposal.
