Demolition for a mixed-use development in Micco, Florida. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 4,759-square-foot hospitality development.
The project involves furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and transportation necessary for the demolition and complete removal of the former motel, two-story duplex building (former efficiencies), and all accessory structures at 8820 US Highway 1, Micco, FL. The demolition must include removal of all foundations, footings, walls, roofs, septic tanks, drain fields, and grease traps. The base area of the former motel and two-story duplex building is 4,759 square feet with a maximum height of approximately 30 feet. The existing pavement on the east side of the motel must remain in place and be protected during the project. The contractor is responsible for verifying all existing site conditions and must report any discrepancies between the contract documents and actual field conditions to the County. All work must comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, regulations, permitting requirements, and OSHA standards. Bid bond (5%) and construction bond (100%) are required. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting is mandatory.
