As of June 10, 2026, all bids have been rejected, and the project will rebid soon. This project consists of the removal of the existing canopy and pavers, reconstruction of the failing subbase, installation of new concrete foundations, reinstallation of the canopy, and reinstallation of pavers at the NC Museum of Art West Building entrance. Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract only, and all proposals shall be lump sum. All proposals must include the Identification of Minority Business Participation form and either Affidavit A or Affidavit B as applicable. Failure to complete these forms will result in rejection of the bid. Contractors must have the proper license as required under North Carolina state laws for their respective trades. General contractors must have license classification for Unlimited Building. Each proposal must be accompanied by a cash deposit, certified check, or bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal. A performance bond and a payment bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price will be required. Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates with final payment upon completion and acceptance of work. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days after the scheduled closing time. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
