Perform approximately 196 CY of milling/excavation; furnish and place approximately 235 Tons of 2A aggregate; furnish and place approximately 118 Ton of 25.0mm asphalt; furnish and place approximately 36 Tons of 9.5 mm asphalt. Performance bond and payment bond in the amount of 100% of the contract as awarded, as well as proof of worker's compensation insurance will be required from the lowest responsible bidder for each contract. All seal coat work and material must meet current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Specifications Form 408 and its Supplements. Proposals must be made upon the forms furnished by the Municipality. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Roadway Lane Milling / Excavation : This work includes the removal of existing roadway lane material . The roadway lane material is to be removed to a depth of ( 18 inches as directed , and the preparation of subgrade for the placement of aggregate material . Roadway mill /excavate into existing roadway , to a uniform surface ( 18.") inch depths as required . Mill / excavated material to be removed and stockpiled or disposed of as directed by the Nippenose Township Official . Milling should provide a properly sloped surface to maintain drainage throughout construction . Immediately after milling / excavation , remove material . Any unsuitable material within the milled / excavated area is to be brought to the attention of Nippenose Township before undercutting of proposed area and suitable material used to stabilize subgrade . 2A Aggregate Material This work is the placement of 2A Aggregate . When placed on subgrade , this work includes the preparation of subgrade as specified in Publication 408 , Section 210. Material to be placed in two lifts , each lift does not exceed 6" compacted depth . Publication 408 , section 350 (d) material placement requires the placement of class 4, Type A geotextile installed . Asphalt Base Course 25.0 mm : Place Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design , Base Course , PG 64S-22, Asphalt Base Course 3< 10 million ESALS , 25.0 MM Mix . Compact the existing subgrade or subbase , thoroughly clean and dry all Asphalt surfaces , tack coat the existing Asphalt edges then place and compact 5" as indicated Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design , Base Course , PG 64S-22, Asphalt Base Course 3< 10 million ESALS , 25.0 MM Mix . Asphalt Wearing Course 9.5mm Fine Grade : Superpave Asphalt Mixture Design , Wearing Course , PG 64S -22 , 3< 10 Million ESALS , 9.5 mm Mix , SRL -Any Furnish and place Asphalt Wearing Course material at 1.5" compacted depth across entire cross-section of roadway lane where indicated . All pavement materials shall be compacted across entire cross -section of roadways lane . All finished paved surfaces shall have a minimum of a 2% cross slope .
