Renovation of a mixed-use development in Farley, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center; and library.
The Work of the Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the renovation of the existing building to serve as a Community Center and Library. Bids will be received for a General Contract, including Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Technology. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or cashier's check drawn on an Iowa bank, or a Bid Bond executed by a corporation authorized as a surety in the State of Iowa, in the amount equal to five percent of the bid, made payable to the City of Farley. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the Contract Sum. All bids shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents prepared by FEH DESIGN. The project is tax exempt; state sales tax should not be included in any bid totals. Bidding documents are available for a deposit and must be returned in good condition. The City of Farley reserves the right to reject any and all bids, re-advertise for new bids, waive informalities, and negotiate with the apparent low bidder to reduce overall project cost.
