Site work for a water / sewer project in Decatur, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes the replacement of existing water mains and lead or galvanized steel water service lines on Madison Street, Jefferson Street, 8th Street, 9th Street, 10th Street, and 11th Street. The work also includes the installation of approximately 7,800 linear feet of water main ranging from 4-inch to 6-inch in diameter, the abandonment of existing water mains, the replacement of existing service lines from the City-owned water main to premise plumbing within each home and business, reconnection of water service lines, replacement of fire hydrants, and all other work required for the completion of the project as described in the specifications and shown on the drawings. The project is designed to utilize open cutting for the installation of the new water mains and horizontal directional drilling for the new water service lines. Bids will be received for a single prime contract and shall be as shown in the Bid Form. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Question Deadline 05/12/2026 Questions pertaining to this project shall be submitted directly to Alex Ponx, E.I. and Ben Adams, P.E. at Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. via online. The Bidder shall be in compliance with all Federal Contract Provisions of Part 11B. The goals for this Project are: 7% MBE and 5% WBE
