Site work and paving for a civil project in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and bridge / tunnel.
The Project includes the following Work: installation of 12-inch to 24-inch RCP storm culvert, installation of 14-inch x 23-inch RCP elliptical storm culvert, unclassified excavation, 500 cubic yards of granular fill, 500 linear feet of regrading ditch, pulverizing existing pavement and base over 3,060 square yards, placement of 7,340 tons of crushed aggregate base course, placement of 4,960 tons of asphaltic concrete pavement, 150 linear feet of sawcut asphalt pavement, installation of 1,000 square yards of erosion matting, and turf restoration over 1 acre. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder shall fail to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The project is funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Agricultural Road Improvement Program (ARIP). Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. The anticipated substantial completion date is October 1, 2026 and final completion date is October 15, 2026. A. The work under these contracts includes, but is not limited to, the specification sections herein. B. Project Funding. The project is funded in part utilizing WDOT Agricultural Roads Improvement Program (ARIP) funds and the Town of Stella. C. Road Reconstruction. Work includes; contractor staking, traffic control, pavement markings, pulverizing and relay existing pavement and base, unclassified excavation, rock excavation, granular borrow, RCP and HDPE culvert pipe and endwalls, traffic signs, geogrid, 3-inch and 8-inch thick layer of base aggregate dense 1 1/4 -inch, 3.50-inch thick HMA Pavement, aggregate shouldering, asphaltic driveway pavement, and restoration of all disturbed areas.
