This project includes the asphalt profile milling of approximately 10.19 miles amongst 64 street sections throughout the City of Dubuque. The project is divided into 5 distinct project phase areas. Sealed bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract value, which may be provided as a cashier’s check, certified check, certified share draft, or a bid bond with acceptable corporate surety. A corporate surety bond for faithful contract performance, equal to one hundred percent of the contract amount, is required after the award. Preference will be given to Iowa products and domestic labor as lawfully required. Bidders should not include Iowa sales tax in their bid, as a sales tax exemption certificate will be provided. The project does not require a pre-bid construction conference, and federal requirements for Targeted Small Businesses, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, and prevailing wage rates are not applicable. No plan deposit is required for obtaining contract documents.
