Renovation of a mixed-use development in Ankeny, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a theater / auditorium.

Project consists of the combined construction of all work included in the Construction Documents, including but not limited to removal and replacement of existing theatrical lighting and rigging systems and all associated controls and electrical work necessary to support the renovation work. Work on the project site shall commence with demolition and electrical preparation, followed by installation of new fixtures and equipment, along with all associated electrical and finishing work. Bids must be on a lump sum basis for a single Combined Construction Contract as described in the specifications. Bids must be submitted on the approved bid form available in the Bidding Documents. No oral, facsimile, electronic, or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as defined, in a separate, sealed envelope, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract and will furnish a corporate Surety Bond for faithful performance of the contract in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the contract. Bid security shall be in the amount of five percent of the bid, and shall be in the form specified. Bid security shall be made payable to Ankeny Community School District. The successful bidder will be required to furnish within ten days of the award proof of insurance as required and a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond both in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price and in accordance with other requirements outlined. Minority and Targeted Small Business participation is encouraged. Bidders shall make a good faith documented effort to encourage participation of Certified Iowa Targeted Small Business in accordance with the Code of Iowa. By statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and/or produced within the State of Iowa. Preference will be allowed to resident bidders as specified.
