Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Ankeny, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

The project includes the hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay of SW Ankeny Road from approximately 700 feet south of SW Snyder Boulevard to SW School Lane and the milling and HMA overlay of NE Delaware Avenue from NE Greenview Drive NE Bellagio Circle to NE 54th Street. Construction improvements include approximately 125 CY of Class 13 excavation, 16,500 SY of HMA milling, 1,000 TON of HMA interlayer, 4,100 TON of HMA overlay, 150 TON of granular shoulder, 225 STA of pavement markings, 400 SY of full depth HMA patching, 300 SY of full depth PCC patching, removal and replacement of sidewalk, temporary surface restoration, temporary traffic control, mobilization, and miscellaneous associated work necessary to complete the project. The contractor shall fully complete the overall project with all work including grading, pavement, pavement markings, temporary surface restoration, and punch list items completed with the streets, driveways and sidewalks fully open to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and all improvements ready for final acceptance. Liquidated damages of $1,000 per calendar day will be assessed for work not fully completed within the designated contract term(s).
