This project involves station improvements at the Norristown Transportation Center. Remove and replace a portion of the existing metal roof system down to metal deck substrate. Contractor to remove all associated stack vent pipe boots, flashing, gutters, roof drains, insulation, sleepers, disconnect the downspouts, and a portion of the higher roof's downspout to create new divergent elbow. 3. Remove and replace existing low sloped EPDM roofing down to metal deck substrate including all associated plumbing, flashing, metal edge, insulation, stack vent pipe boot, and gutters and downspouts. 4. Prepare metal roof surfaces using the methods recommended by the manufacturer for achieving the best result for the substrate under the project conditions. Apply metal roof restoration membrane on the remainder of metal roofs to include: all canopies, NHSL 1 terminal, and NHSL platform. 5. Contractor to include in the bid a minimum of 30% metal deck repair and replace as a discovery item. Refer to Schedule A Part B. 6. Remove and repair reinforcement at track level brick wall as per structural drawings. 7. Repair steel columns with 3/4 " metal plate welded to column. Paint to specification. 8. Repair and repoint brick wall as per drawings. Square footage listed on Schedule A. 9. Upon removal of roofing materials, the concrete and metal roof decks may need to be repaired and/or replaced due to water damage. Refer to Schedule A Part B and A100 for square footage quantity and location. 10. Repaint glazing mullions. 11. Repaint canopy structure, columns, and underside of roof decking. Refer to SK100. 12. Remove and replace existing stainless steel egress doors, hardware, frames, and all related components in existing openings. Install new panic push bars on each door.
