Contractor shall replace fence infrastructure along both the east and west sides of the Point Pleasant Canal, a component of the New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway federal navigation channel. The work includes removal of degraded existing chain link fencing from designated sections of federal property and installation of new chain link fence with a minimum height of 42 inches, including new footings as required to support fence posts. Repair areas are identified on the contract drawings and are generally located between the southern limit of federal property and the Lovelandtown Bridge, from the Lovelandtown Bridge to the Route 88 Bridge, and from the Route 88 Bridge to the Manasquan River entrance. Additional work includes excavation and removal of excess soil, removal of dead trees and branches, placement of topsoil, seeding and mulching, stabilization of two scour holes on the east side of the canal at Howe Street and near Hulse Road, and fabrication and installation of signs. Location: Point Pleasant Canal, Borough of Point Pleasant, Ocean County, New Jersey. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineer (USACE), Philadelphia District (NAP), anticipates a requirement for the Fence Replacement along Point Pleasant Canal. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.
