The proposed project includes rehabilitation of two existing pump stations, capping of an abandoned outfall line, crushed stone surfacing for access drives, rip rap for lagoon levee and the replacement of aerator components. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked as "BID FOR CDBG 2024 SANITARY SEWER IMPROVEMENTS, CDBG NO. 1201-24-306-PF-01." Bids over $50,000 must display the contractor's current certificate of responsibility number or a statement that the bid does not exceed $50,000. Bids will be accepted only under the name of the Bidder to whom contract documents have been issued by Plan House Printing, on behalf of the Engineer, and whose name appears on the official list of plan holders. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, negotiable U.S. Government bonds at par value, or a satisfactory Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The successful bidder must furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. The successful bidder must comply with Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, the Davis-Bacon Act, and the Build America, Buy America Act. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid and inquire about subcontracting or supply opportunities. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the best interest of the Owner. Bids may be held by the Owner for up to 60 days for review and investigation of bidder qualifications, prior to contract award.
