Demolition, site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in McLoud, Oklahoma. Completed plans call for the demolition of a playground / park / athletic field; for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field; and for site work for a playground / park / athletic field.
The contract work consists of furnishing all required labor, materials, parts, and supplies for demolition, base construction, preparation, and installation of a new football field with synthetic turf and an 8-lane running track with specified field event surfaces. The work includes all field markings for football and soccer, new field events for the running track such as long jump, triple jump, pole vault, and high jump areas, and provides permanent or essential equipment associated with field events as directed. The work also includes removal and offsite disposal of existing vegetation and fencing, use of overburden for onsite areas, and movement of any utilities necessary for construction to be completed by others. All grading and subgrade installation must use 3D guidance controls. The contractor must have a minimum of five years' installation experience and provide proof of similar completed jobs with references. Construction shall be in strict accordance with manufacturer recommendations, Oklahoma State statute, Federal compliance, and industry standards. Bidders must submit any proposed substitutions for specified products at least seven days prior to the bid date. A 5% bid bond, cashier's check, or irrevocable letter of credit must be posted with the bid. A written warranty for the surface installation and paint striping, against faulty materials or workmanship, is required for five years from the date of acceptance. Insurance meeting specified coverage must be provided before work begins. Full payment will be made upon completion and acceptance of the work. Verification of dimensions at the site prior to bidding is required. Work must be scheduled to avoid interrupting normal building operation, and the site must be left clean after completion. Each bidder is required to provide a completed AIA Document A305, Contractor's Qualification Statement, with the bid package. Any bids over $50,000 must include a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount not less than 5% of the total bid amount as security.
