The work is generally described as improvements to the Tunica Municipal Airport via Agricultural Apron Expansion. The contract time for the Base Bid is 45 calendar days, with liquidated damages of $500.00 assessed for each calendar day thereafter. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law with a current Certificate of Responsibility from the Mississippi Board of Public Contractors. Bids must include a 5% Bid Bond and, if successful, the bidder must execute the contract along with a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond within 10 days after the award. The project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act for wage and labor provisions and a contract goal of zero percent participation for disadvantaged business enterprises. Bidders must make and document good faith efforts to meet the DBE goal. Other federal provisions apply, including equal employment opportunity requirements and Buy American Preferences. Bids must be held for 90 calendar days and submitted on the standard bid form. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and waive irregularities or informalities.
