Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in Burlington, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

Sealed bids are requested for a Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) - Paving Surface Improvement Project, designated Project No. A2602-C. The project includes approximately 4 miles of 2 and3/4" Hot Mix Asphalt (24' width) in 2 lifts, specifically 1 and 1/4" Leveling Course and 1 and 1/2" Overlay on 2nd Road from Angus Road to Emmer Road. Bidders may examine drawings and specifications at the County Clerk's office and obtain copies for bidding purposes at the County Engineer's Office. Each bid must include a Bid Bond or Cashier's Check for 5% of the bid amount as Bid Security, which will be forfeited if the successful bidder fails to execute the agreement and provide payment and performance bonds within ten days of notice of award. The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities.
