Maintenance repairs to the parking deck including isolated concrete spall and crack repairs, joint sealant replacement, rebuilding two landings at the west stairwell, isolated structural repairs to precast concrete support conditions, and repainting of isolated steel components. Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract. All proposals shall be lump sum. Instructions to bidders include: - Proposals must be submitted as sealed bids. - Required forms regarding minority business participation and affidavits must be included with the bid proposal. Failure to complete these forms is grounds for rejection of the bid. - Contractors must have the proper license required under North Carolina state law, specifically Unlimited Building classification for general contractors. - Single prime contractors must be properly licensed as general contractors. - A performance bond and payment bond for 100% of the contract price are required. - Payment will be made based on 95% of monthly estimates; final payment upon completion and acceptance. - Bids may not be withdrawn for 30 days after the scheduled closing time. - The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities.
