The Site Improvements at 50 Asheland Avenue project includes milling, grading, and paving of an existing parking lot. Modest retaining wall and landscape work are also required. Bidders must comply with all applicable federal laws, regulations, executive orders, and all terms and conditions of the funding award. All bidders are required to perform and document affirmative, good-faith efforts to outreach to and contract with Small, Disadvantaged, Minority, and Women Business Enterprises and Section 3 low-income and very low-income businesses. Bid proposals must include the cost of required insurance and bonds, and payment of any applicable local, State, and Federal taxes. The City will not enter into contracts with bidders who are delinquent in the payment of ad valorem taxes owed to the City of Asheville. All bidders must have current North Carolina General Contractor licenses with the appropriate classification for all work of the project at the time of the bid. Contractors and their subcontractors must provide a drug-free workplace during the performance of the work.
