Renovation of a mixed-use development in Asheville, North Carolina. Working plans call for the renovation of a medical facility.
The work consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, expertise, supervision, administration, and transportation required to complete a full upgrade of the Electronic Health Records Management (EHRM) infrastructure at the Charles George VA Medical Center. Services include performing all construction activities in accordance with final specifications, drawings, and all contract documents developed by an independent Architect-Engineer firm. The project will utilize a design-bid-build approach and will result in a firm-fixed-price construction contract. Contractors must demonstrate experience completing comparable projects in size, scope, and complexity; provide evidence of adequate bonding capacity aligned with the stated magnitude of construction; and show the technical skills and key personnel necessary to perform the work. Interested firms are required to submit a capabilities statement containing corporate information, business size and socioeconomic status, statement of interest, bonding capacity, and examples of no more than three relevant projects completed within the last seven years, including details on scope, size, value, building type, dates, self-performed work, and personnel qualifications. Responses must also include answers to the Project Labor Agreement (PLA) questionnaire regarding familiarity with PLA requirements, likelihood of bidding under a PLA, potential cost impacts, competitive considerations, expected subcontractor reactions, and any additional comments. Submissions must be provided electronically as a single, application-generated PDF (no more than nine pages and under 4MB) and must contain the Sources Sought number and project title in the email subject line.
