Contractor will provide janitorial associates at Asheville High School, 419 McDowell St, Asheville, NC 28803, for a total of 96 hours per day, to provide janitorial services as directed by the school administration. A lead janitorial associate will be on site for evening and night shifts, beginning at 4:00 pm, managing those on shift and assisting with deeper cleaning while buildings are vacant. Cleaning supplies and equipment will be provided by Asheville City Schools. Tasks include daily, weekly, and as-needed cleaning of classrooms, offices, gyms, media center, common areas, restrooms, hallways, cafeteria, outside grounds (within 10 ft of building), and the auditorium. Summer cleaning tasks include stripping and re-finishing floors, cleaning classrooms and bathrooms, shampooing carpets, and deep cleaning thresholds. If Summer School is in session, the normal daily cleaning schedule applies. All sealed proposals must include one original and five copies, be fully sealed, reference RFP# 148-MAINT-056, and be clearly labeled. Proposal forms must be signed and dated by an authorized official. Proposals will be evaluated on experience and qualifications, technical approach and scope, safety and personnel, cost and value, and references and reliability. Asheville City Schools reserves the right to reject all offers if deemed in its best interest.
