Renovation of a detention facility in Fieldsboro, New Jersey. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Project No: S0643-00 - Suicide Resistance Improvements at the Juvenile Medium Security Facility, 279 Fourth Street - Bordentown, Burlington County, NJ. The work is to be bid as a single bid (lump sum all trades). Bidders must be classified with DPMC in either General Construction (C008) or General Construction / Alterations & Additions (C009). Bidders or their listed subcontractors must be classified in Plumbing (C030), HVACR (C032), and Electrical (C047). Failure to list all required DPMC Classified subcontractors will render the bid non-responsive. Only bids from contractors attending the mandatory pre-bid meeting will be accepted. Paper bids will not be accepted; proposals must be submitted electronically via Bid Express. The Scope of this Project includes various suicide prevention improvements to the bathroom and shower areas within the Juvenile Medium Security Facility (JMSF). The scope of the work occurs at each of the (6) pods. Each pod contains 3 to 4 showers split among the first and second floors. The scope of work is to remove the existing finishes throughout the showers, including but not limited to: tile, paneling, fixtures, curbs, membranes, shower beds, access doors, etc. All existing surfaces require preparation and repairs prior to installation of new finishes. Modifications to the existing solid masonry walls and slabs will be required to facilitate the installation of new access doors and fixtures. Each shower will receive new finishes throughout and new fixtures. Refer to Electrical, Fire Protection, Mechanical, and Plumbing Summary of Work Specification Sections for additional information Question Deadline 05/21/2026 Every request for an interpretation relating to clarification or correction of the plans, specifications, or other bid documents must be made in writing, addressed to the architect/engineer and the DPMC Director, and must be received at least five (5) working days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the bids. Contractors are advised that a Non-Mandatory Follow-Up Site Visit will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 at 10:00 AM. Contractors seeking to attend this Non-Mandatory Follow-Up Site Visit are required to PREREGISTER THE NAMES OF ALL ATTENDEES via email to Bryan Warman at bryan.warman@yjc.nj.gov NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM ON MAY 7, 2026 if they plan to attend the non-mandatory follow-up site visit. Firms failing to pre-register the names of attendees prior to 4:00 PM on May 7, 2026 will automatically be opted out of the non-mandatory follow-up site visit and such firms will not be permitted entry. Contractors not in attendance at the Tramburg Building by 10:15 AM will not be permitted access.
